when the weather is nice and you want to go climbing somewhere close to downtown jackson, the shield in the hoback is the place for you. the shield has sport and trad climbs and ranges from 5.5 to 5.12. there are even some opportunities for 2 pitch stuff. the sun stays on the wall all afternoon into the evening, making it a perfect spot for a post-work climb to chill friends. we went a few times last week. and used our new 60m sterling rope. im making our retired rope into a chair thing. well see out that turns out.
