on the snake river, halfway between jackson and apline, wyoming, there is a rapid called lunch counter. its the one that flips all the whitewater rafts when the river is high. yesterday we went to watch some people surf the fixed wave at the beginning of that very rapid. a few of our friends did some kayaking too.
i guess people can surf anywhere there's a wave, salty or not.
