gear envy: fall edition

Fall is my FAVORITE season.  There is nothing better than being outside in the cool air in the late afternoons bundled up in a sweater and socks watching the leaves change, sipping on cider and eating pumpkin pie.  And SEC football is on TV. Heaven.  Fall also warrants a different kind of climbing.  The rock is still dry, but the days are shorter and colder.  You need to get up and down that mountain faster than usual.  This gear envy edition is dedicated to the upcoming season.

Gifts are always appreciated!

1. Nemo Tango Duo Sleeping Bag: This fall, we're going on a another road trip to Devil's Tower, Minnesota, Indiana and Asheville before arriving in SC where I'll be living for two months before starting school for apparel design in Salt Lake City.  We'll be camping a lot and this sleeping bag would be perfect for cold fall nights.
2. Hyperlight Mountain Gear Ultralight Ice Pack:  David stumbled upon this brand a few weeks ago and we instantly fell in love with their products.  The ice pack can hold everything, and weighs nothing.  oh yeah, and its waterproof.
3. Patagonia Women's Advocate Chukka: Soon, it will be too cold for Chaco's and these little slip on booties would be perfect for roaming around town or warming up my toes after being in cold hard climbing shoes all day.
4. Magnetron GridLock Carabiner: This new biner from Black Diamond uses magnetic forces (magic?) for an autolocking carabiner.  We need a few of these for our cold fingers on Devil's Tower.
5. Prana Stretch Zion Pant: When it's cold outside, you want to wear pants to climb but I hate it when those pants get in between my climbing shoes and the rock.  So does David.  These pants are stretchy for climbing, dry quickly, keep you warm and roll up to stay out of your way.  They also look so good, he can wear then when he is at school back in Minnesota too!
